Atwell

The Atwell community broke ground in October of 2018. The Atwell master-planned community will span 1,528 acres, with plans for over 4,400 single-family homes. This community adds approximately 40 neighborhoods to the city of Banning. The development will Craftsman, Spanish and Italian style homes, ranging from 1,800 to 2,600 square feet. The first model homes are anticipated to open sometime in January 2020 and the first home sales occurring in May 2020. The first phase will include a K-6 school site and two commercial sites in addition to the 480 homes in the plan.

In future phases, there will be one new elementary school constructed, hiking trails, community parks, a 3,500-square-foot community center, and other commercial pads.

Atwell’s location grants scenic views of the San Bernardino Mountains and the adjacent San Jacinto Mountains. Presenting spectacular views from almost everywhere within the community. With the historic Smith Creek winding through the development, it naturally allows for natural open spaces. The master plan developer had a healthy outdoor lifestyle in mind when they were laying out the plans for the community. While exact details are still being worked out, we know the builder will be incorporating pathways and playgrounds as well as approximately eight swimming pools upon completion. Several activity centers are in the plans and will include a recreation center with a large pool, tot lot, meeting rooms, kitchenette, and barbeque area. A roughly eight-mile scenic-rich trail system is also planned and will be open to the public upon completion.

Atwell not only offers residents exquisite design in their new homes but wellness aesthetics part of the community. Also, the location is convenient for commuting. To help with commuting public bus routes, along with carpool and rideshare parking lots were incorporated into the plan. Most of the new homes will be inside the Beaumont Unified School District while Banning Unified School District be serving approximately 700 new homes.

Pardee Homes is the developer building the Atwell community and anticipates 20-30 years to complete the project.
