D.R. Horton was founded in 1978 in Fort Worth, Texas. Their focus is on building homes for all stages of life. From first-time homebuyers to 55+ communities, they have a home to fit your life. They have built homes from coast to coast and even as far west as Hawaii.
Since D.R. Horton’s founding, they have constructed more than 830,000 homes. In 2002 they became the largest homebuilder by volume in the United States. They currently operate in 91 markets in 29 different states.
In 1992 D.R. Horton went public, and in 2019 they were #194 on the Fortune 500 list.
